Yesterday was a long, tiring day for me. But I was glad that I was able to rest and relax in a newly-opened cafe/restaurant in BF Aguirre named the Test Kitchen Caffe, where the food, the coffee, and the dessert made an instant upbeat rhythm in my monotonous tiresome day, like a dobutamine to the heart. 🙂
You would think, why a double ‘F’ for the caffe? I would say perhaps that extra ‘f’ was for the extra ‘flair’ 🙂 I mean the presentation of the food when placed on our table, was lovely and elegant. And I loved how they served out Vietnamese coffee, it was artsy! (Yes, they serve coffee from Vietnam).
Also, the tissues were placed on a tiny glass (a shot glass), which is something I didn’t find elsewhere. Their place mats have a nice quotation from the admirable Virginia Woolf. (“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”). And the interiors bring out a cozy atmosphere.
You may not find the cafe easily as the front do not face the main road but that little thing adds a certain appeal to the place, as if it’s a secret hideout or something like that.
Their menu consists of meals made from healthy ingredients (by the way, the adobo panini is a must-try) and the dessert options are delightful too. Their Belgian chocolate revel bar is a piece of heaven. 🙂
And yes of course, I would definitely go back. 🙂
